Uk Environment Agency: "Bisphenol A is controlled via food contact legislation under the EU Directive 90/128/EEC relating to plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs. Bisphenol A is also being reviewed under the EU Regulation on Existing Substances (793/93/EEC) for which, in the UK, the Health and Safety Executive is currently carrying out a health risk assessment."
